Nude Live — Review for the Foundation News, Art Gallery of NSW

Nude-Live-AGNSW

This year, I have been working for the Foundation of the Art Gallery of NSW, producing written content and editing texts for publication. In the May digital edition of the Foundation News I wrote a review of the Gallery's popular public program Nude Live, a dance performance throughout the 2016-17 summer show Nude: Art from the Tate Collection.

Languid and lithe, seven dancers from the Sydney Dance Company slipped around Ron Mueck's Wild Man and recoiled with elastic backs alongside Louise Bourgeois' Arched Figure. Naked like the subjects on the walls, the dancers struck-up a conversation of pure physicality with the works of Nude: Art from the Tate Collection for a special series of performances during the Sydney Festival.
